Street photography
At its core, street photography is the art of capturing candid, unposed moments of everyday life in public spaces. It’s about observing the world as it unfolds naturally — no staging, no directing, just the raw choreography of human behavior and environment.
Peter Ottingius
I am a photographer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. I trained at photography school in the early 1980s and have spent my career since then, photographing people. My work spans weddings, portraits, and model photography, and in recent years I’ve grown increasingly drawn to photographing people in public spaces — candid, human moments that tell a story.
While I shoot a lot locally, most of my work is created on the road — travel is my favorite way to stay present, explore new cultures, and observe the small, revealing differences in how people live and interact.
